Whitman Immersion Programs
Part of the Whitman global experience opportunities are short-term immersion programs. These programs are usually hosted over the spring or summer months, and led by Whitman faculty. Past immersion trips have been made to Japan and Korea. These programs are part of our experiential learning which allows students to immerse themselves in the business practices of the country they are visiting while engaging with other students and business professionals during the site visits as well.
In May 2022, Assistant Teaching Professor Elizabeth Wimer is leading 14 Whitman undergraduate students that have completed SOM 354 to visit Kenya, Africa. The week-long journey will include work with corporate partners and organizations, meetings with local entrepreneurs and students and cultural immersion opportunities. The team will be sharing their experiences here and on an Instagram takeover.
