Fun run with Chancellor Syverud through campus

This morning, we were able to participate in the first ever inauguration run through campus with Syracuse University’s 12th Chancellor Kent Syverud.  Amy McHale, Angela Nikolaus and I were on hand to represent the Masters Programs office in addition to some MBA and MS students. The day started off bright and early at 6:30am where we collected our “I ran with the Chancellor” t-shirt and a high five from the orange man himself – Otto! Over 400 participants were present to support the Chancellor and the fun run or as it was described to us as a fun run/walk/roll. I think the roll was the bait and hook that made us register. We gathered in the orange grove on campus where we started to run towards the Art Center and took a right to head towards College Place. After that we were able to experience campus in a different way – running by the Carrier Dome, The College of Law, down Adams Street and eventually leading us right by our favorite building the Whitman School of Management. As we approached the balloon arch finish line, the Chancellor himself was there greeting everyone and congratulating them on the run. The rest of the day is going to be filled with inauguration activities to represent this historic moment in SU history.
