Study Abroad Programs

At Syracuse University's Whitman School of Management, we believe that in order to become a well-rounded business professional, students need to be exposed to the global aspects of business and gain practical experience by studying, interning or taking a short course abroad. Learn first-hand from our students during their Spring 2022 study abroad experiences.

Florence

Florence Center

For hundreds of years, Florence has remained a perpetual fountain of creativity and intellectual thought. The city is bursting with architectural and artistic masterpieces waiting to be explored. In addition, you’ll find a city that’s fast becoming an international hub for European politics, business and international education.

London

London Center

London’s cultural, social, and ethnic diversity is unlike anywhere else on earth. Whether you’re a budding designer, architect, actor, or simply a student of the world, your semester here will be one of the most enriching academic and personal experiences you can undertake. Your immersion into London life comes from living in your own flat, where you will soon discover that you are part of the city’s huge assortment of smaller towns, each with its own distinct character.

Madrid

Madrid Center

Based in festive and modern Madrid, the Syracuse program explores the entirety of Spanish culture. You’ll begin with one of several distinct Signature Seminars, which are aimed at providing the best introduction to Spain and Europe. During that time, you’ll also meet fellow classmates and Syracuse staff and faculty. The Syracuse Madrid cultural activities and service-learning programs will further immerse you in your new surroundings.

Strasbourg

Strasbourg Center

Strasbourg is the ideal place to spend your semester or year abroad. Over 50,000 students from around the world come to the city each fall, drawn by its prestigious universities, its dynamic cultural life and its welcoming atmosphere. Strasbourg also hosts several of Europe’s most important political institutions, including the EU Parliament, the Council of Europe and the European Court of Human Rights.

Barcelona

World-Partner CEA Barcelona

The CEA Barcelona program is designed for students of all language levels who wish to take courses in English and Spanish from a wide variety of subject areas within the liberal arts and social sciences. Students may also incorporate a professional internship placement into their semester. The program provides many opportunities for students to immerse themselves in Barcelona. As Spain’s second-largest city, Barcelona offers the perfect blend of historic and modern, combining the charm of the medieval Gothic quarter with thriving immigrant cultures, Gaudi’s quirky architectural creations and world-class dining and shopping on the Mediterranean Coast.
