Originally from DeWitt, New York, Syracuse University was not first on Whitney Harrigan’s list when she was looking at colleges. But now in her sophomore year she has acclimated to Syracuse and is someone to look out for in the future, she is a #WhitmanWatch student.
Whitney is currently a double major in accounting and finance with a minor in Middle Eastern studies. In Whitman she is an IMPRESS peer mentor for the freshmen class and works in the Whitman Visitor’s Center as a student ambassador. In the future, Whitney hopes to attain a job in a major city with an accounting or financial service company.
On campus she is involved in several organizations including a student-run musical theater organization called First Year Players and an acapella group called The Mandarins. Last year she played the role of Joanne Jefferson in the First Year Players rendition of Rent.
