Jennifer Bennett, rising sophomore in the Whitman School of Management, has traveled near and far. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho and moving to Hershey, Pennsylvania when she was three, Jennifer believes she now lives in the sweetest place on earth. At 15 she began working at none other than the Hershey’s Chocolate World. A business alumnus and a yearning for a change of pace from 24/7 tourism then led her to Syracuse University.
In her first year, Jennifer participated in the American Marketing Association and pledged Delta Sigma Pi Professional Fraternity where she was the Vice President of Finance for her pledge class. This upcoming year, Jennifer will be a Whitman Peer Mentor, participate on the Community Service and Recruitment Committees for Delta Sigma Pi, and will work as both an office assistant in Whitman’s Suite 500 and as a babysitter. She also plans to get involved in Enactus, a club that executes community service through entrepreneurship, since she is extremely passionate about helping others and the value of giving back.
Traveling is a pastime of Jennifer, she has visited many states in the U.S. and has gone to Canada, Italy, Greece, and Turkey. Next fall she hopes to study abroad in Florence. In her spare time she enjoys drawing and doing DIY projects to channel and release her creative side. She is also an avid dog lover and as many other college students, a coffee drinker. Jennifer exhibits many characteristics of drive and initiative, she is another, #WhitmanWatch.
This week Jennifer and many other Whitman students will be coming back to campus. The IMPRESS mentors are excited to greet the incoming freshman, safe travels to all!
