In a first-of-its-kind list, Poets and Quants for Undergrads, a higher education website, which provides information and counsel to those interested in business school education, features Ravi Dharwadkar, professor and chair of the management department at Syracuse University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management, as one of the top 40 undergraduate business professors.
Professor Dharwadkar was put forth by his peers for the honor, with current and former students also supporting his nomination. Poets and Quants said its mission with the inaugural list was to “find the Picassos among undergraduate business school professors,” faculty who “transform students’ minds, as well as hearts.”
A Laura J. and L. Douglas Meredith Professor of Teaching Excellence, Professor Dharwadkar joined the Whitman School faculty in 1998. He has earned numerous awards for his teaching and research over the past 20 years. He humbly tells Poets and Quants that “his students’ success is his success.”
