I’m an adventurous and curious person who wants to learn more about diverse people, experiences and cultures. These issues are on the rise, and companies are beginning to develop their diversity and inclusion initiatives. I want to contribute to that. I’ve learned so much at Whitman—developing the confidence to communicate your stance, speaking up, reading the room and collaborating, as well as respecting that every person has a different perspective or opinion. These are the things I want to bring into my career. I hope to use data and communication to provide helpful information to target audiences, as well as form unbiased questions that allow people to be heard in terms of the solutions that they truly need. New York City is a hub of diversity, so that’s where I hope to be after graduation—working in entertainment and/or media. Ten years from now, I definitely want to be living and working abroad, as I’m interested in learning more about different cultures, backgrounds and perspectives. Whitman has given me a professional background and the skills I need to work towards my goals.
