After graduating from Brown University with a bachelor’s degree and four years of varsity lacrosse under his belt, Nick Piroli found that he wasn’t quite finished with either. He decided to continue his lacrosse career at Syracuse University while pursuing his MBA at Whitman with a marketing concentration.
“SU is close to home and allowed me to use my fifth year of NCAA eligibility to play varsity lacrosse, while working toward an MBA at a great program,” said Piroli.
His father also received an MBA from Syracuse, which initially made him interested him in the program.
As an undergraduate at Brown, Piroli received a degree in business, entrepreneurship and organizations. He spent his summers working for multiple lacrosse companies, combining his love of the sport with his business skills to organize tournaments and provide marketing support. Following his graduation from Whitman, Piroli hopes to begin a career in sports marketing or management.
“Athletics and competition are passions of mine and have been a major part of my life from a young age,” he said. “Though I will not be playing sports in the future, I want to continue to be involved with them in one way or another.”
Be on the lookout for Piroli on the field for the Orange as ‘Cuse lacrosse continues their season through the spring.
