Meet Davis Hull ’13 MBA

Waking up to a few inches of snow is what living in Syracuse is all about!

Living in Syracuse has definitely been an adjustment for me. I am originally from Mississippi and have lived in Houston, TX for the last 5 years.  This time of the year I am accustomed to playing golf.  However, I have had some experience with this weather as I went to undergraduate at Wabash College in Indiana.  I figure this is preparation for my move to New York City after I graduate.   It is my goal to work there after graduation and Whitman, in addition to having a strong Finance program, has numerous alumni in the city.

I came to Whitman to pursue an MBA to get a better foundation in accounting, finance and economics.  I had worked for the last 7 years, primarily in the financial services industry.  While I was progressing well in my career, I felt that an MBA could make me well rounded and prepare me for executive level assignments in the future.  The small class sizes and personalized attention are extremely helpful as some things academic take a while to come back to me, as I have not had any schooling since 2004.  One of the key things I love about Whitman is the professors.  They are always willing to talk, help you out with homework, or get you prepared for a job interview at last minute.  I couldn’t see myself anywhere else.
