…But we SU students did not need to think twice about it. Being an SU student got us tickets for only $15 to see Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (as opposed to a $100 for non-SU students) and the concert was held at our very own Carrier Dome. I know, for many, it’s not a big deal. But for me, it was a great deal—it was my first concert in the United States and I was about to see one of my favorite musicians.
I could write a fan fiction if I went on about the rest of the show because that is how much I worship the man, his songs and his ideologies. But what I would like to mention is that it was a welcome break from the intensity of the coursework. The thumping beats, the crazy lights, the chanting crowd was more soothing than a quiet room on the 3rd floor of the Whitman School of Management on November 11, 2013. Oh, by the way, this was before our Accounting mid-term exam.
So, all of you reading this, take a break, take a breath and tap your feet to some nifty, thrifty music!
