Inaugural Class of Accounting@Syracuse Begins Classes July 10

The inaugural class of Accounting@Syracuse will begin its semester on Friday, July 10. The program serves to provide working professionals the opportunity to earn a Master of Science in Accounting on a flexible online platform. The class is comprised of professionals looking to advance or transition their careers. Classes are taught by Whitman’s award-winning faculty, and students earn the same degree as students on-campus. Accounting@Syracuse positions its graduates with all necessary educational requirements to take the CPA exam and advance their careers.

To deliver this program, the Martin J. Whitman School of Management partnered with 2U Inc., a firm that partners with leading colleges and universities to deliver the world’s best online degree programs so students everywhere can reach their full potential. Professor Bill Walsh, director of the Joseph I. Lubin School of Accounting, designed a curriculum that can be tailored to accommodate students’ unique educational and professional backgrounds.

Accounting@Syracuse joins MBA@Syracuse, Whitman’s online Master of Business Administration, as Whitman’s second online master’s program. While the MBA@Syracuse offers a general business education with some specialization in accounting, Accounting@Syracuse focuses on an in-depth accounting specialization.
