The WISE Women’s Business Center (WISE) recently awarded the inaugural Award of Distinction to Lindsay Wickham, events and communications manager for the Falcone Center for Entrepreneurship at Syracuse University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management (Whitman School), for her “unique dedication and unwavering energy in honoring the WISE brand.
“Lindsay is responsible for getting us to our 15th year of the WISE Symposium!” said Joanne Lenweaver, director of the WISE Women’s Business Center. “She believes in the power of this event. Plus, we selected her for her commitment to the fact that women are worth supporting and her all-out admiration of entrepreneurship.”
Wickham has worked for the Whitman School for more than 10 years, supporting the Falcone Center’s varied programs. Many of the experiential learning experiences offered to all students on campus are in conjunction with the Falcone Center for Entrepreneurship, including the on-campus business incubator, The Couri Hatchery, whose occupants have collectively raised more than $3.4 million in external capital. Many Hatchery alumni have gone on to become successful business owners.
A graduate of Leadership Greater Syracuse, Wickham earned a B.S. in communication from Cornell University.
