On Thursday Nov. 12, Vice President Joe Biden will support the “It’s On Us” campaign here on Syracuse University‘s campus. Vice President Biden will be here to recognize SU’s diligence in working “to raise awareness and to put an end to sexual and relationship violence,” says Chancellor Kent Syverud.
Vice President Biden, alum of ’68, has chosen Syracuse University as one of his destinations to recognize efforts to end sexual violence and abuse in part because Samantha Skaller, student in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, is one of 17 students nation wide to serve on the national “It’s On Us” Student Advisory Committee.
Her efforts, along with working closely with a task forced organized by Chancellor Syverud, are focused on looking critically at the University’s sexual assault and relationship violence services, policies and programs every semester.
Starting Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 9 AM, students are able to pick up tickets to the event at the Schine Student Center Box Office. Tickets are free, but there will be a limited amount available.
