Whitman is pleased to be hosting two events as part of Orange Central 2016. We encourage all Whitman faculty and staff to attend.
On Thursday, September 15, we will hold our annual Awards Ceremony and Reception to honor several distinguished alumni, including the recipient of the Jonathan J. Hotlz Alumnus of the Year Award, as well as deserving faculty, staff and students. The awards ceremony will start at 4:00 p.m. in Whitman’s Flaum Grand Hall and a reception will immediately follow.
We are excited for the return of the Orange Tank business pitch competition to be held Friday, September 16. Like last year, we’ll welcome entrants in two categories—alumni and student start-ups—with accomplished alumni judging each competition. This year, the monetary prizes for winner will be increased thanks to a generous gift from Mark ’83 and Judi ’84 (VPA) Morris and Andrew Greenberg ‘85 (VPA). Both the student and alumni pitches will be awarded $5,000 for first place, $3,000 for second place and $1,000 for third place. The event will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Flaum Grand Hall with a networking reception following the pitch competition.
To RSVP for the Annual Awards Ceremony & Reception and/or Orange Tank, please email Alison Kessler, Alumni Publications and Outreach Manager, by September 12. We hope to see you there!
