Each year, Syracuse University‘s Martin J. Whitman School of Management hosts Whitman Day, a day to celebrate and honor members of its community. This year, Whitman Day was packed with a series of fun-filled events throughout the day.
The morning of Whitman Day started off with a breakfast in the Flaum Grand Hall. Eugene Anderson, dean of the Whitman School, served homemade omelets to faculty, students and staff, while Otto handed out Whitman Day cookies.

Later that day, the Whitman Community Council hosted its annual Whitfest celebration. During Whitfest, students enjoyed an ice cream sundae bar and food, played games, learned about all the exciting organizations in the Whitman School and received a special commemorative shirt. The shirt was designed by the Whitman Community Council. In addition to all the other activities, the winners of the Whitman School’s annual Goodman IMPRESS Competition, Waverly house, were presented with the coveted Goodman Cup, a trophy awarded to the house with the most IMPRESS points at the end of the spring semester.

Next, graduate students gathered with Whitman faculty and staff for a cocktail reception.
Alumni were also invited to celebrate Whitman Day by sharing on social media their favorite Whitman School memories and giving shout outs to faculty and staff that have made a difference in their lives.
