Brett Kaplan’s financial journey began nearly 15 years ago as a teenager who wanted to learn more about the stock market. After reading a book on investing for teenagers that his mother bought him, he was hooked. He saved $500 from babysitting and working a part-time job at a restaurant and began buying and selling stocks. From there, his thirst for knowledge only grew, and after years of studying and trading in the stock market, interning for several large investment banks, and reading everything he could get his hands on, Kaplan was able to land a job on Wall Street. Today, he continues his work in banking at Raymond James where he structures municipal bonds for state and local governments across the country.
