Introduction

Author: Ashley Thombs

Ashley Thombs is a Real Estate Tax Associate at KPMG LLP. She graduated from Whitman in 2014 with a B.S. in finance and accounting and in 2015 with a M.S in accounting. As a graduate student, Thombs was a teaching assistant for ACC 151, responsible for facilitating two recitation sessions per week. Additionally, she worked in the Whitman Career Center as a graduate student career assistant. As an undergraduate student in Whitman, Thombs also kept herself busy with a number of different involvements and leadership opportunities. She was a member of the professional accounting fraternity, Beta Alpha Psi, and served as the organization’s treasurer. She was also a Whitman peer facilitator for three years, advising incoming Whitman students and helping them acclimate to life at Syracuse. Today, she is active within the Whitman NYC Alumni Club and serves as the social media manager on the executive board.
