Dear Whitman Alumni and Friends,
We hope to see you on campus for Orange Central 2017, set for October 5-8. There are many exciting programs and activities planned across the University. Be sure to make your reservations for the events Whitman will be hosting on Friday, October 6, as part of this year’s celebration:
Whitman Orange Tank Alumni and Student Business Pitch Competition: Our 3rd Annual Orange Tank, set for a 1 p.m. start in Whitman’s Flaum Grand Hall, will feature current Whitman students and alumni entrepreneurs pitching their business ventures to a panel of judges for a chance to win a cash prize made possible through a generous gift from Mark ’83 and Judi ’84 (VPA) Morris.
Whitman Annual Alumni Awards Ceremony: The awards ceremony will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the Flaum Grand Hall. Syracuse University Vice Chancellor and Provost Michele G. Wheatly will introduce Eugene “Gene” Anderson as dean of the Whitman School, followed by the presentation of awards to extraordinary Syracuse University alumni:

Whitman Alumni Reception: We invite you to join us in the Flaum Grand Hall from 4:30-6:30 p.m. for hors d’oeuvres and refreshments to celebrate our alumni award recipients and to spend time with friends old and new as we conclude our day of celebration.

In addition to those alumni to be honored at Whitman’s Alumni Awards Ceremony, we are proud to have our own Arents Award honoree this year. Daniel A. D’Aniello ’68 will receive Syracuse University’s highest alumni honor on Friday evening, October 6, during the Arents Award Celebration.
