Whitman Alum to Appear on ABC’s Shark Tank

A Whitman alum, Evan Watson ’11, will appear on this Friday’s episode of ABC’s Shark Tank, along with his co-founders, Pete Kistler ’10 BS (iSchool) and Patrick Ambron ’09 BS (Newhouse), as they pitch BrandYourself, a personal online branding company, which helps people create a positive Web presence.

Formed in Whitman’s Couri Hatchery in 2009, BrandYourself also was the second-place prizewinner in the Panasci Business Plan Competition that same year. It’s now a thriving firm, headquartered in New York City, and boasting 40 employees, 300,000 users and millions in venture financing.

“Shark Tank” airs Fridays at 9 p.m. on ABC.
