We have such fond memories of Syracuse University. I vividly remember watching the men’s basketball team at Manley Field House and being part of the intimidating Manley zoo. My wife, Debbie, and I were lucky enough to be there in 1975 to experience our first Final Four (and, thankfully, not the last). We graduated in 1978, but it seems like yesterday that we were walking through the quad, highlighted by the majestic Hall of Languages and the gothic beauty of Crouse College. We made friendships and relationships at Syracuse that will last a lifetime. Our Orange roots run deep. Debbie and I met at Syracuse when we were living next door to each other in DellPlain Hall in 1975. My sister’s husband, Seth Mendelson, graduated in 1980; Debbie’s brother, Steven Isenberg, graduated in 1981; my son, Jared, graduated in 2011; my daughter, Lindsay, graduated in 2013; my nephew, Justin Mendelson, is currently a junior; and my nephew, Andrew Mendelson, will arrive on campus as a freshman this fall. So, as you can see, my family bleeds Orange. Who knows who will be the next in the family lineage to attend?
