AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS:

The executive committee of the Florida State University College of Business Board of Governors honored Melvin Stith ’73 MBA, ’78 Ph.D. (below), former dean of the FSU College of Business and of the Martin J. Whitman School of Management, by creating the Melvin T. Stith Sr. Professor of Business Administration Endowed Professorship.

Chelsea Ransom-Cooper ’15, Young Whitman Advisory Council member, was included in the Association of African American Financial Advisors’ inaugural Fifty Under 50 program which recognizes and celebrates influential Black/African American licensed financial advisors, planners, consultants, and operations/administrative executives in the financial services industry.

Ruth Colvin ’59 (below), founder of Literacy Volunteers of America (now ProLiteracy), was featured by Syracuse.com for her lifelong dedication to literacy and accomplished career, including authoring her 12th book at the age of 103.
