KEEPING IN TOUCH:
Kurt Kruger ’76writes: “In 1974, I was a Syracuse sophomore who was struggling in accounting and finance when Dr. Theodore Wallin recognized my aptitude for connecting with people and suggested I change my major to marketing. Upon making that change, my GPA went from 2.0 to 3.5. I received two job offers from on campus interviews in the middle of a major recession and was off to the races in a successful sales career. Today, I am retired and consulting part time and training others in the lesson I have learned. Most recently, I was Executive Vice President – Sales & Marketing with HBE Corporation in St. Louis. My career spanned 40+ years in Healthcare/Hospital Sales. I held sales related roles with many large and small organizations across the country. These companies including Sodexo, Novartis and HBE. I had the pleasure of returning and working for several of these organizations multiple times. My thanks to Syracuse University and particularly Dr. Ted Wallin for the direction and guidance I received in my education toward a very satisfying and rewarding career.”
