Hal Fetner ’83 to Receive Whitman’s 2018 Holtz Alumnus of the Year Award and Other Alumni to Be Honored at Annual Awards Ceremony

As part of the Orange Central 2018 celebration, Whitman will host our Annual Alumni Awards Ceremony and Reception on October 18. This year’s event will be highlighted by the presentation of Whitman’s highest alumni honor, the Jonathan J. Holtz Alumnus of the Year Award, to Hal Fetner ’83. Fetner, a long-time member of the Whitman Advisory Council and newly appointed Syracuse University Trustee, will be among several Whitman alumni honored for their professional accomplishments and commitment to the Whitman School. This year’s honorees are:

Hal Fetner ’83 – Jonathan J. Holtz Alumnus of the Year

Al Berg ’73 – Orange Entrepreneur of the Year

Jack Ryder ’86 – Dean’s Citation for Exceptional Service

Lauren Hunter ’11 MBA – Young Alumna of the Year

Alison Kessler

Alison Kessler is the alumni publications and outreach manager at the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. She has amassed more than 20 years of experience in integrated marketing communications in the corporate, agency, not-for-profit, higher education and government sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and mass communication and psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
