Featured Alumni Entrepreneur: Zach Schleien ’12

my-photoZach Schleien ’12 and his mom, Debbie Schleien, launched LIFT Protein Muffins last year. LIFT Protein Muffins is a gluten-free, paleo muffin that serves as a meal replacement.

Schleien saw an opportunity in the gluten-free, paleo market. There were few healthy food choices that tasted delicious, were free of artificial flavors and served as a meal replacement. He put his hypothesis to the test and participated in a number of competitions last year, such as The IDEA Juicer and The RvD IDEA Awards. He used his winnings to help propel his venture. LIFT Protein Muffins was accepted into Whole Foods, and Schleien recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to help pay for kitchen and equipment costs.

The goal of LIFT Protein Muffins is to provide busy professionals, students, athletes, as well as the elderly, a healthy meal alternative. You can help Schleien today by supporting his venture on Kickstarter as well as by sharing the Kickstarter link. If you are also interested in investing and forwarding his mission, please email Schleien directly at zach@liftproteinmuffins.com. You can also contact with him on LinkedIn.
