Coming Back Together 2017 is set for September 14-17. Whitman will host a luncheon in celebration of our African American and Latino alumni. In addition, there will be many events and activities occurring on campus including an award ceremony during which Whitman alumni Michael Blackshear ’91, chief compliance officer at Chubb and Whitman’s CBT chair, and Constance “Connie” Orlando ’89, head of programming for Black Entertainment Television, will receive the Chancellor’s Citation. For a complete schedule of events and RSVP information, visit the CBT 2017 event page. Please let us know if you will be on campus for any part of the weekend.
We also look forward to seeing many alumni on campus during Orange Central 2017 set for October 5-8. As part of this year’s homecoming festivities, Whitman will host the 3rd Annual Orange Tank business pitch competition and our Annual Alumni Awards Ceremony and Reception. Both are set for Friday, October 6, in Whitman’s Flaum Grand Hall.
Now through July 31, we are accepting nominations for two alumni awards to be presented during the October 6th ceremony. We are also seeking entries for Orange Tank. Alumni entrepreneurs who have not placed at a previous Orange Tank competition can submit an entry for consideration through September 8. You can make your reservations for the Whitman events and any others happening that weekend at Orange Central. Send us a note if you’re planning to come home!
As always, thanks for your continued support of Whitman. Go Orange!
