classnotesheadshot-bales_anita_smallAnita Bales ’98 MBA (left), director at the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), has been selected as an inductee into the 2017 edition of the Wash100, an annual selection of the most influential voices in the government contracting arena. As director of the DCAA, Bales oversees the worldwide operation of the agency and its resources as well as directs the planning development, execution and evaluation of comprehensive programs that implement public laws to carry out the agency’s contract audit mission. She reports directly to the Pentagon’s comptroller in her role at DCAA. Read More.

 KEEPING IN TOUCH:
Ludwig Huck ’55 is happily retired after a career in business spanning 41 years followed by another 20 years volunteering in economic development and entrepreneurial development throughout Ohio and beyond with the Wayne County Economic Development Council and the NorthEast Ohio Fund For Our Economic Future.
Richard Markson ‘X6 is fully retired from his service as a Major in the United States Air Force. He and his wife of 55 years have three daughters and seven grandchildren.
Stephen E. Katz ’70 MBA (Beta Gamma Sigma), retired in 1986 as a Colonel in the United States Air Force with more than 30 years of service and two Vietnam tours with the Air Rescue Service. Among other honors, he received the Legion of Merit and Distinguished Flying Cross. After retirement, he was employed by Associated Global Systems as Regional Manager, Government Services. His wife Patricia Ann passed away in 2012. He lives in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, with his four rescue dogs.
Joseph Eppolito ’92 MBA has been working for the past 26 years as a financial advisor, the last nine with MassMutual. A full-time lecturer at SUNY Cortland and an adjunct professor at the Whitman School of Management, Eppolito is a past president and current treasurer of the Whitman Alumni Club of Central New York.

Alison Kessler

Alison Kessler is the alumni publications and outreach manager at the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. She has amassed more than 20 years of experience in integrated marketing communications in the corporate, agency, not-for-profit, higher education and government sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and mass communication and psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
